More The Commissioned Corps is an essential component of the largest public health program in the world. Corps officers may apply to a variety of positions. More HHS has signed an agreement between the Department of Defense (DoD) and the U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) to increase mental health services available to active-duty military service members, their family members, and to military retirees.
